Im Mai 1945 (Belegschaftsstärke zu der Zeit 680 Leute) enteignet und als VEB weitergeführt. 1958 wird die Zuckerfabrik beauftragt, außerdem Hähnchen und Enten aufzuziehen, was aber nicht so recht gelingt. Sarkastisch kommentiert die Firmenchronik: Es gab bald mehr Ratten als Enten. 1965 zusammen mit den Zuckerfabriken Brottewitz, Döbeln, Oschatz und Löbau im VEB Zuckerkombinat „Ernst Thälmann“ aufgegangen. 1992 stillgelegt und bald darauf abgerissen. | | Availability: | Doppelblatt.
