Übernommen worden 1880 durch die International & Great Northern RR, die damals von dem Spekulanten Jay Gould kontrolliert wurde, und nach deren Reorganisation 1911 auf diese verschmolzen. Zuletzt eine Nebenstrecke der Union Pacific, die 2008 stillgelegt werden sollte. Es gelang dem neu gegründeten „Rusk County Rural Rail District“ aber, der UP die Strecke abzukaufen.
