Nur die letzteren beiden waren bereits mit den Strecken Dutchess Junction-Millerton, N.Y. (59 Meilen) bzw. Chatham Four Corners, N.Y. nach Rutland, Vt. (114 Meilen) in Betrieb. Projektiert war die Zusammenfügung zu einer 244 Meilen langen Bahn von High Bridge, N.Y. nach Rutland, Vt. Doch die fusionierte Gesellschaft brachte keinen Spatenstich zustande, nicht ein einziger Anleihekupon wurde bezahlt. In kürzester Zeit regierte der Konkursverwalter. Die Anleihegläubiger machten die Fusion rückgängig und gründeten für die Strecke im Staat New York neu die Newburg, Dutchess & Connecticut RR, die 1907 in der Central New England Ry. und damit im System der New York, New Haven & Hartford RR (später New York Central) aufging. | | Specials: | Die Zinsen waren wahlweise in Dollar in New York oder in Pounds Sterling in London zahlbar.
