Weltkrieges offerierte er seine Dienste beiden Seiten - die Deutschen nahmen sein Angebot an. Dank seines ab 1915 gebauten Eindeckers erlangte Deutschland zunächst die Lufthoheit im Krieg. Zusammen mit Prof. Hugo Junkers gründete er 1917 die Junkers Fokkerwerke AG in Dessau. Nach 1918 kehrte Fokker nach Holland zurück und baute dort seine eigene Flugzeugfabrik auf - jahrzehntelang mit dem Durchbruch der Fokker Friendship ein höchst erfolgreiches Unternehmen. Zuletzt gehörte Fokker zum Daimler-Benz-Konzern, der die Firma sang- und klanglos in Konkurs gehen ließ. | | Specials: | Einer der Stimmrechts-Treuhänder war Anthony Herman Gerard Fokker.
