Die 1900 fertiggestellte Brücke über den St. Lawrence River eröffnete über die Gleise der New York Central & Hudson River RR eine direkte Verbindung von New York nach Ottawa. 1904 erwarb die New York Central die Aktienmehrheit und gliederte sich diese Bahn 1913 vollständig ein.
