Dann tat sich - nichts. Erst als 1882 ein Konkurrent erschien und den Zugang zum Kohlerevier im östlichen Kentucky anstrebte wachte man auf, reorganisierte die Bahn unter obigem Namen und begann zu bauen. Hauptstrecke zuletzt Louisville-Burgin, Ky. (89 Meilen) mit Flügelbahnen Lawrenceburg-Lexington, Ky. (24 Meilen) und Versailles-Georgetown, Ky. (17 Meilen). Reine Güterbahn fast ohne Personenverkehr. 1894 in Konkurs gegangen und in der Zwangsversteigerung von der Southern Railway gekauft worden.
