So lässt sich einem Ratsprotokoll von Rockville, eine der ältesten Städte im Staat Maryland, entnehmen, daß im Aug. 1888 bei der Ges. die Vorführung einer Fire Engine erbeten wurde. Anschließend vermerkt das Protokoll „The Mayor and Council further ordered at their Nov. 9th 1888 meeting that the Clerk buy three Domestic Fire Engines from the Manufacturer in Washington and one hundred feet of hose for each Engine and is authorized to pay $ 202.50 for the same. The Mayor, the Bailiff and the Superviser are appointed as a Committee to select places to stow the Engines and ladders.“ | | Specials: | Großartige und für eine US-Aktie vollkommen außergewöhnliche Gestaltung, ausgeführt als Kreidelithographie. Riesige, 17 cm breite Abb. einer brennenden Scheune neben einem Farmhaus in einer Vollmondnacht, Männer löschen mit handbetriebenen Hebelspritzen, andere schleppen Wassereimer heran.
