Die Gründer konnten jedoch kein Geld auftreiben und so kaufte 1872 die Lehigh Valley 55 % der Aktien und baute zunächst 22 Meilen 3-Fuß-Schmalspurstrecke von Tunkhannock nach Hunter‘s. 1876 wurden auch die restlichen 5 Meilen nach Montrose fertig. 1903 Umbau der Bahn auf Normalspur. 1905 in Konkurs gegangen und dann als Montrose RR reorganisiert, wobei die Lehigh Valley Alleinaktionär wurde. Auf dem Papier existierte die Montrose RR aber weiter und wurde erst 1949 als deren Montrose Branch in die Lehigh Valley integriert. 1972 unterspülte Hurrikan Agnes große Teile der Strecke, 1976 wurde sie stillgelegt. | | Specials: | Altrosa/brauner Holzstich mit detailreicher Vignette eines Personenzuges mit offener Uralt-Lokomotive. | | Condition: | VF | | Sold: | unsold |
