Man wollte Hubschrauber mit gestängelosen und selbstschmierenden Rotorköpfen konstruieren. Gebaut wurden LZ-1a, LZ-2a Pelican, LZ-4 und LZ-5 sowie deren Weiterentwicklung DB-10B 1953. Der Doman H-31 wurde 1952 von Hiller Aircraft Company in Lizenz gebaut. Das Geschäft wurde nach Puerto Rico verlegt und die Produktion des DB-10B dort weitergeführt. 1967 wurde der Name in Berlin Doman Helicopters geändert, was dem Einfluss des Vorstandsvorsitzenden Dr. Don R.
