Die Gesellschaft pflegte nebst dem Mobilbankgeschäft das Kreditversicherungsgeschäft, so insbesondere die Warenkreditversicherung, die Hypothekarversicherung, die Garantieübernahme für Steuer-, Zoll- und Frachtkredite und Erstellung von Kautionen. Nach dem Krieg wurde die Tätigkeit auch auf alle Zweige des Bank- und Börsengeschäftes ausgedehnt. Mit der Phönix Lebensversicherung stand die Kompassbank seit ihrer Gründung in enger Geschäftsverbindung, zum Zeitpunkt des Phönix-Zusammenbruches hatte sie eine Forderung von rund 10 Mio.
