(ab 1923 Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit Corp.), die zuerst die Hochbahnen, ab 1904 auch die U-Bahnen in New York baute. Der Betrieb der Linien oblag 1899-1907 der Brooklyn Heights RR, 1907-12 der Brooklyn Union Elevated RR und 1912-23 der als Tochtergesellschaft der BRTC neu gegründeten New York Consolidated RR. Diese wurde 1923 mit der New York Municipal Ry. zusammengelegt. 1940 übernahm die Stadt New York den Betrieb in Eigenregie und vereinigte die drei bis dahin getrennten Netze.
