Die 1890 eröffnete Teilstrecke von Central City nach Burwell sollte ursprünglich bis South Dakota führen (bis Butka im Rock County war die Strecke auch schon trassiert), doch tatsächlich kam die Bahn nie über Burwell hinaus, wo man zum Wenden der Lokomotiven eine handbetriebene Drehscheibe installierte (die dort bis heute als Denkmal erhalten ist). Erst 1983 stillgelegt. Die L.&B.H.R.R. wurde 1908 komplett durch die Chicago, Burlington & Quincy RR übernommen, die hier von Anfang an die Betriebsführung gehabt hatte | | Availability: | Unentwertet.
