place: | Brüssel | | Picture: |  | | Info: | Ursprung des Unternehmens sind die alten Stollenzechen Hoffnungsthal, Wodan, Rabe, Johannessegen und Hüllsiepenbank. 1897 von der Gewerkschaft Hoffnungsthal konsolidiert und 1899 vom Mülheimer Unternehmer Leo Hanau in die S.A des Charbonnages Westphaliens (Westfälische Kohlenwerke AG) eingebracht. Die Gewerkschaft teufte den Schacht Hoffnungsthal 2 ab und legte Anfang des 20. Jh. die alten Stollenbetriebe still. 1905 übernahm über die Gewerkschaft Johannessegen die S.A. des Charbonnages de Hattingen sur Ruhr (Hattinger Kohlenwerke AG) den Bergwerksbesitz, 1921 setzte sich die Kette der Besitzer mit der Bergbau-AG Lothringen fort, 1926 schließlich kam das Bergwerk zur Vereinigte Elektrizitätswerke Westfalen (VEW). | | Availability: | Mit anh.
