Von Columbia aus gelangte die Fracht (vornehmlich Kohle und Eisenerz) auf dem Susquehanna Tide Water Canal in die Chesapeake Bay. Später kam in Manheim noch ein 10 Meilen langer Abzweig nach Norden dazu und etwas südlich davon ein Abzweig Richtung Rohrerstown im Westen der Stadt Lancaster. In ihren Glanzzeiten befuhren täglich außerdem 10 Personenzüge die Strecke. Erst 1985 stillgelegt. 1987 wurde die Trasse vom Lancaster County erworben und in einen Rad- und Wanderweg verwandelt. | | Specials: | Ausgesprochen dekorativ mit zwei allegorischen Vignetten, riesige 13 cm breite Hauptvignette mit Ansicht eines Hüttenwerkes mit Kohlenbahn.
