Sie führte in 914-mm-Spur von Palma de Mallorca nach Inca und wurde noch 1931 wegen des starken Verkehrs zweigleisig ausgebaut. Das in der Spitze später 236 km lange Eisenbahnnetz der Insel wurde 1964-77 weitgehend stillgelegt. Heute sind nur noch die Strecken Palma-Soller und Palma-Inca in Betrieb.
