Ausdehnung insgesamt 332 Meilen, Hauptstrecke Macon, Ga. nach Eufaula, Ala. (143 Meilen). 1895 an die Central of Georgia RR verpachtet. Die wiederum stand unter der Kontrolle der Richmond Terminal Co., deren Zusammenbruch 1894 auch diese Bahn in den Konkurs riß. (J. P. Morgan formte aus den Trümmern 1894 die Southern Railway.) Über die reorganisierte Central of Georgia erlangte 1907 der Eisenbahnbaron Edward H. Harriman die Kontrolle und verkaufte sie 1909 an die ebenfalls von ihm kontrollierte Illinois Central. 1932 musste die Illinois Central ihr Investment abschreiben: Die Central of Georgia ging erneut pleite. 1956 ging die Bahn an die Frisco, die sie 1963 an die Southern Railway verkaufte, heute ein Betriebsteil der Norfolk Southern. | | Specials: | Meisterhafter hellbraun/schwarzer ABNC-Stahlstich, Vignette mit träumender Schönheit (die gleiche Vignette wurde übrigens auch von der Coca-Cola Company für ihre Aktien gewählt). | | Condition: | VF | | Sold: | unsold |
