Die schließlich 47 Meilen lange, in Aberdeen beginnende Bahn wurde bis 1912 Schritt für Schritt ausgebaut und erreichte 1912 Fayetteville, N.C.. Dort schloß sie an die Atlantic Coast Line RR an. Der Personenverkehr wurde 1949 eingestellt, Güterzüge fahren auf der Strecke Aberdeen-Fayetteville bis heute und die Bahn ist auch nach mehr als 1 1/4 Jahrhunderten immer noch im Besitz der Familie Blue.
