Das Projekt gestaltete sich ungemein schwierig, denn St. Cloud lag auf der “falschen” Seite des Mississippi, und Geld für eine teure Brücke über den Fluß war lange Zeit nicht da. Erst nach 1900 konnte die Bahn eröffnet werden. Wie desolat ihre Situation gewesen sein muß, zeigt die Tatsache, daß die sonst nicht gerade für vorsichtiges Bilanzieren bekannte NP ihre Beteiligung bis auf 1 $ abgeschrieben hatte. | | Specials: | Kleine Holzstich-Vignette mit Uralt-Eisenbahn. | | Availability: | Aus dem Norther-Pacific-Archiv.
