place: | Waynesburg, Pa. | | Picture: |  | | Number: | 615 | | Info: | Konzessioniert 1854 zum Bau einer 28 Meilen langen Bahn von New Holland nach Downingtown (dort Anschluß an die Philadelphia & Columbis RR). 1860 unter obigem Namen neu organisiert, 1861 war das erste 18 Meilen lange Stück nach Waynesburg (heute Honey Brook) fertig und wurde als deren Waynesburg Branch an die Pennsylvania RR verpachtet, der Rest folgte erst 1876. In den 1880ern erneut Finanzprobleme, dann als Downingtown & Lancaster RR reorganisiert und 1903 schließlich ganz an die Pennsylvania RR verkauft. 1949 wurde ein erstes Teilstück stillgelegt, der Rest folgte 1966-73. | | Specials: | Hochdekorative und äußerst ungewöhnliche Gestaltung, großflächiger Unterdruck in hellblau mit einem PRR-Personenzug am Bahnsteig. | | Availability: | Unentwertet.
