Von 1921 bis 1934 Freistaat. 1944 kamen der preußische Regierungsbezirk Erfurt und der Kreis Schmalkalden hinzu. Landeshauptstadt war Weimar. 1946 erhielt Thüringen unter der sowjet. Militärverwaltung eine neue Verfassung, Regierungssitz war 1948-52 Erfurt, 1952 wurde Thüringen als selbständiges Land aufgehoben und auf die Bezirke Erfurt, Gera und Suhl aufgeteilt. | | Specials: | Auslosungsanleihe.
