Die 50 Meilen lange Bahn Vail-Grampian, Pa. war seit 1882 für 50 Jahre an die Pennsylvania RR verpachtet. Ein tragisches Unglück ereignete sich am Memorial Day 1893, als etwas nördlich von Tyrone der prachtvolle Zirkus-Zug des Walter L. Main Circus entgleiste und eine 10 m hohe Böschung hinabstürzte, wobei fast alle Zirkustiere den Tod fanden. 1903 in der Cambria & Clearfield Ry. aufgegangen, diese wurde dann 1913 als „Clearfield Branch“ vollständig in die PRR eingegliedert. Die Bahn überlebte sogar noch den Conrail-Zusammenbruch und wurde 1996 an die R. J.
