Das Unternehmen wurde später einfach nur „G7“ genannt, weil ihre Fahrzeuge von der Präfektur mit dem Kennzeichen G7 versehen wurde. Zweck der Firma war der Umbau von zunächst Renault-Fahzeugen (Typ AG, 8 PS-Zweizylindermotor) für die Pariser Taxi-Flotte. Die Werksanlagen waren in Boulogne-Billancourt gelegen. Bereits 1914 hatte G7 drei Viertel der 12.000 Pariser Renault Taxis produziert. Während des 1.
