Aus Geldmangel blieb das Ziel unerreicht. Die Umwandlung in eine AG 1984 mit Börsengang brachte dann wenigstens so viel Geld, daß von der Air Panama eine gebrauchte Boeing 727-100 erworben werden konnte, eine weitere wurde im Frühjahr 1985 geleast.
