Später, am 1.1.1897 wurde noch die Kansas City and Beatrice RR Co. übernommen, die die knapp 21 Meilen lange Strecke von Summerfield (Kansas) nach Virginia (Nebraska) besaß. Die Hauptlinie der K.C.N. RR führte über 117 Meilen von Kansas City zum Anschluss an die St. Joseph & Grand Island Railway, hinzu kamen noch einige Nebenstrecken. Die firmeneigene Schienenstrecke betrug insgesamt knapp über 174 Meilen im Jahr 1901. In diesem Jahr war übrigens George J. Gould president der Gesellschaft, Sohn des berühmt-berüchtigten "Mephisto der Wallstreet" Jay Gould. | | Specials: | Braun/schwarzer Druck.
