Als AG gegründet 1909 zum Fortbetrieb der gleichnamigen GmbH. Herstellung und Vertrieb von Dampfkesseln, Gußeisen, Maschinen. 1917 ist die Kokerei abgebrannt. 1937 von der Mansfeld AG für Bergbau und Hüttenbetrieb, Eisleben (100%) übernommen. 1940-45 Einsatz von bis zu 2000 Zwangsarbeitern und Kriegsgefangenen in der Munitionsfabrik. 1946 Demontage der Munitionsfabrik, Wiederaufnahme der Produktion von Metallwaren und Draht. 1957 Anschluß an das Walzwerk Hettstedt als Betriebsteil. 1970 VEB Draht- und Seilwerk Rothenburg. 1990 Umwandlung des VEB in die “Draht- und Seilwerke GmbH”. 1992 Privatisierung durch die “Westfälische Drahtindustrie GmbH”, Hamm. | | Specials: | Lochentwertet (RB). | | Availability: | Doppelblatt.
