place: | Strassburg i/E. | | Picture: |  | | Number: | 12286 | | Info: | Bei der Gründung 1899 brachte die A.E.G. das zuvor ihr direkt gehörende Elektrizitätswerk im elsässischen Straßburg nebst Stromversorgungskonzession ein. 1906 wurde der der SPD nahestehende Rudolf Schwandner zum Bürgermeister von Straßburg gewählt, anschließend erwarb die Stadtgemeinde die Aktienmehrheit. Unter städtischer Kontrolle, aber privatwirtschaftlicher Führung erfolgte dann auch die systematische Elektrifizierung der Dörfer im Mittel- und Nordelsaß, was der Ges. und damit der Stadt Straßburg zusätzliche Einnahmen erschloß. Diese gemischt kommunal-privatwirtschaftliche Rechtsform besitzt die „Electricité de Strasbourg“ (im Gegensatz zur voll verstaatlichten Electricité de France) bis heute. | | Specials: | Ganzflächiger feiner Jugendstil-Unterdruck, mit Originalunterschriften.
