Anschließend vergab der Staat Konzessionen, so daß die Länge der Privatstrecken am Ende ein mehrfaches der Staatsbahnstrecken ausmachte. Ende des 19. Jh. kaufte der belgische Staat alle Privatbahnen zurück. 1926 wurde die „Nationale Gesellschaft der Belgischen Eisenbahnen“ gegründet und bereits 1927 privatisiert. 1946 wurde die NMBS/SNCB dann ein letztes Mal wieder verstaatlicht, hatte aber zu Finanzierungszwecken noch jahrzehntelang Vorzugsaktien im Umlauf. | | Specials: | Großes Hochformat, zweisprachig französisch/flämisch. | | Availability: | Unentwertet, mit Restkupons ab 1976.
