Produktion von LKW-Fahrersitzen seit 1982 und von Passagiersitzen für Busse seit 1985. 1989 in eine AG umgewandelt. Ab 1990 auch Herstellung der Sitze für den ICE. 1996 Gang an die Börse, 2000 Übernahme durch Finanzinvestoren, 2005 zweiter Börsengang und Aufnahme in den SDAX.
