Herstellung von Schuh- und Stanzmaschinen, besonders eine Bügelmaschine für welche Max Grune 1909 ein Patent angemeldet hatte. Es handelte sich um einen Zuliefererbetrieb für die in Pirmasens reichlich vertretene Schuhindustrie. Pirmasens wird auch gern als die "Schuhmetropole Deutschlands" bezeichnet. 1922 wurde sie AG, ab 1944 GmbH und ab 1989 wieder AG. 1978 erfolte die Übernahme von der amerikan. Katy Industries aus Illinois. Es wird hauptsächlich in die UdSSR, Japan, Italien, Algerien und die USA exportiert. 1998 wurde das operative Geschäft auf die Schön & Sandt AG (Maschinenbau) übertragen. Trotz eines weltweit wirtschaftlich schlechten Umfelds hat die Schön & Cie AG in den letzten Jahren ein gutes Geschäftsergebnis erzielt. | | Availability: | Lochentwertet.
