Ein 1884 erteiltes Patent für eine Hebelblechschere markierte die Umstellung der Produktion auf Blechbearbeitungsmaschinen. 1898 Umwandlung in die Maschinenfabrik Weingarten vorm. Hch. Schatz AG. 1945 wurde die Fabrik fast völlig demontiert, 1958-60 erfolgte ein Werksneubau auf der grünen Wiese. Großpressen für die Automobilindustrie (deren Produktion schon seit 1925 lief) und Stanzautomaten waren nun die Haupterzeugnisse. 1982 Fusion mit dem größten Wettbewerber (Müller Pressen- und Maschinenfabrik GmbH, Esslingen a.N.) zur Maschinenfabrik Müller-Weingarten AG. 2007 Übernahme durch die Schuler AG. | | Availability: | Lochentwertet.
