Bald wird Kunststoff das Haupttätigkeitsgebiet, deshalb 1965 Umfirmierung in „SIMONA GmbH, Kunststoff-Halbzeuge“. Die Lederfabrikation wird 1973 eingestellt. 1988 Umwandlung in eine AG, 1990 Börsengang (bis heute notiert).
