place: | Weimar | | Picture: |  | | Number: | 31 | | Info: | Gründung 1925 u.a. durch die Stadt Weimar und die Städtische Sparbank zwecks “Errichtung und Verwaltung eines Saalbaues zur Förderung der geistigen und künstlerischen Belange Weimars als überlieferte Pflegestätte deutscher Kultur”. Der Saalbau fasste 3000 Besucher, angeschlossen waren ein Konzert- und Kammerspielsaal, das Parkkaffee und Parkrestaurant mit Gartenterassen sowie Konferenzräume. Zuletzt war die Stadt Weimar Alleinaktionär. Die Halle wurde im Krieg nicht zerstört und wurde 1945 Ausweichspielstätte des Deutschen Nationaltheaters Weimar. 1947 übernahm die sowjetische Garnison die Halle und richtete dort ein Spielkasino ein.
