Am Ausbau der Häfen von Montevideo (Uruguay) und Rotterdam hatte die AHI schon vor Beginn des 1. Weltkrieges großen Anteil. Niederlassungen bestanden in Köln, Hamburg, Halle/Saale (1945 enteignet) und Den Haag, später auch in Berlin, Mannheim und Wien (1945 unter Sequester gestellt). 1951 wurde eine schwedische Lizenz für ein neuartiges Gleitschnellbauverfahren für Silos, Bunker, Fernsehtürme und Hochhäuser erworben. Niederlassungen gab es wegen der erfolgreichen Entwicklung nun in Berlin, Bochum, Braunschweig, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt (Main), Hamburg, Hannover, Köln, Mainz, Mannheim, München, Saarbrücken und Siegen. In Düsseldorf und Berlin börsennotiert. 1969 Abschluss eines Beherrschungsvertrages mit der Strabag Bau-AG, die inzwischen über 90 % der Aktien besaß. | | Availability: | Unentwertet.
