Trotz des großen Grundkapitals von 250.000 £ geriet die Gesellschaft in finanzielle Schwierigkeiten und musste 1828 den Konkurs erklären. Die beiden Werke in Flintshire wurden 1830 an Edward Oakley verkauft.
