In Deutschland war Fox seit 1930 über die Deutsche Fox Film AG tätig (ältere Kinobesucher erinnern sich gewiß noch an die „Fox“ Tönende Wochenschau, die früher vor jedem Film lief). 20th Century Fox wurde 1985 von der News Corporation des australischen Medienmoguls Rupert Murdoch übernommen und zur heutigen Fox Entertainment Group ausgebaut.
