place: | Paris | | Picture: |  | | Number: | 55986 | | Info: | Gegründet 1869 von Alexandre Gustave Eiffel (1832-1923) unter der Firma “Eiffel & Cie.” für den Bau von eisernen Brücken und Großhallen. 1887-89 baute die Gesellschaft den Eiffelturm, der zu seiner Zeit mit 300 m das höchste Bauwerk der Welt war (doppelt so hoch wie der Kölner Dom und die Pyramiden zu Gizeh, die bis dahin den Rekord gehalten hatten). 1889 wurde die Gesellschaft reorganisiert und zu “Cie. des Établissements Eiffel” umbenannt. 1893 zog sich Eiffel aus der Geschäftsführung zurück. Nachdem Maurice Koechlin die Leitung der Firma übernahm, änderte er den Firmennamen in “Soc. de Construction de Levallois-Perret” um. 1937 erfolgte eine erneute Reorganisation, danach hieß die Gesellschaft “Anciens Établissements Eiffel”, ab 1960 bis zur Liquidation im Jahre 1975 nur noch “Établissements Eiffel”. | | Availability: | Äußerst selten angebotene Eiffelturm-Aktie.
