Das Gebäude der Telefongesellschaft stand direkt neben dem Postamt der Stadt. Später von der Mutual Telephone Co. übernommen worden, der 1883 gegründeten nach Bell Hawaii zweitältesten Telefongesellschaft im Königreich Hawaii. Mit der Übernahme des Telefongeschäfts der Hawaiian Pineapple Co. auf der Insel Lana‘i 1954 besaß Mutual dann das gesamte Telefongeschäft der Hawaii-Inseln und firmierte bei der Gelegenheit in Hawaiian Telephone Co. um. Ab 2002 Verizon Hawaii, ab 2005 nach Übernahme der Verizon-Hawaii-Aktivitäten durch die Carlyle Group die Hawaiian Telcom.
