Info:Die Lunghai-Eisenbahn wurde von vier verschiedenen Regierungen von China im Laufe eines halben Jahrhunderts gebaut (die Qing-Dynastie, Beiyang Regierung, Nationalistische republikanische Regierung und die kommunistische Regierung der Volksrepublik China). Die Hauptstrecke ist 1125 Meilen lang und verbindet die Hauptstadt der Provinz Gansu Lanzhou (Lanchow) im Nordwesten mit Lianyungang im Nordosten der chinesischen Provinz Jiangsu am Gelben Meer. Die Lunghai-Linie ist eine der verkehrsreichsten chinesischen Eisenbahnen. Der erste Abschnitt der Eisenbahn wurde zwischen 1905 und 1909 in der Provinz Henan zwischen den Städten Kaifeng und Luoyang von einer belgischen Gesellschaft gebaut, unterstützt durch Frankreich und Russland. Diese Linie, genannt Bianliang-Luoyang Eisenbahn, wurde am 1.1.1910 eröffnet. 1916 wurde die Strecke mit niederländischer Finanzierung bis nach Haizhou gebaut, 1923 bis nach Henan. Die Fertigstellung der kompletten Bahn erfolgte 1953, die heute den wichtigsten Teil der neuen Eurasischen Kontinentalbrücke bildet, einer Verbindungsbahn zwischen Ostasien und Europa.
